Derek Jeter joins BetMGM as a brand ambassador, with themed slot machines coming soon.

BetMGM recently announced the signing of American baseball legend and former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter as a brand ambassador. This multi-year partnership aims to expand BetMGM's influence among North American sports fans and deepen its brand connections with renowned athletes.

Under the agreement, Jeter will participate in BetMGM's national marketing campaigns and online content promotions, making his debut in the new brand campaign "The Legend Series" on July 15.

As one of the highlights of the collaboration, BetMGM also plans to launch an online slot game themed around Jeter, which is currently the first known online casino game created specifically for a professional baseball player. Although the exact release date has not been announced, the operator confirmed that the game will be launched on its platform in a limited-time exclusive format in the coming months.

Jeter: Advancing with an Innovative Brand

Discussing the partnership, Jeter stated:

“BetMGM demonstrates a strong strategic vision in product, responsible gaming, and community building. I am excited to join this innovative team, establish deeper connections with players, and help drive the brand forward.”

Jeter's addition further strengthens BetMGM's lineup of sports celebrity endorsements. Previously, the brand had signed NHL Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky, NFL legend Barry Sanders, and former US national soccer team goalkeeper Tim Howard.

Promoting Responsible Gaming While Building an Entertainment Content Ecosystem

This partnership not only focuses on celebrity impact but also emphasizes a commitment to responsible gaming. Jeter will help promote BetMGM's GameSense program in the US and Canadian markets. Initially developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, the program has been fully integrated into BetMGM's web and mobile platforms, providing players with responsible gaming tools and guidelines.

Additionally, BetMGM continues to expand its exclusive gaming content. In June this year, its partner Light & Wonder launched "The Wizard of Oz: Follow the Yellow Brick Road," a sequel to April's "Over the Rainbow." Both games are currently exclusively available on BetMGM platforms in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, Canada.

This collaboration with Jeter marks a new step for BetMGM in merging sports influence, brand identity, and gaming content innovation, further solidifying its position as a leading iGaming brand in North America.
