European leading betting operator Tipico has released its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report, highlighting its progress in responsible gambling, employee development, and environmental sustainability.
The report notes that Tipico has kept the turnover from problem gambling behavior below 1.5% and plans to maintain this standard. In 2024, Tipico also launched its first national responsible gambling TV campaign, reaching over 4 million viewers, while continuing to support related research and treatment projects.
In terms of human resources, the company provided over 15,000 hours of training for more than 2,300 employees from 87 countries, focusing on leadership and career development, demonstrating a commitment to internal growth.
Environmentally, Tipico is steadily progressing towards its 2030 carbon neutrality goal. Compared to 2023, Scope 2 carbon emissions have been reduced by 41%, and new waste recycling systems have been implemented in offices in Malta, Karlsruhe, and Munich. Earlier this year, the company also received ISO 14001:2015 certification for its environmental management system.
CEO Axel Hefer stated, "Releasing this ESG report in a UEFA European Championship year shows our solid steps on the path to achieving growth with responsibility." CFO Christian Wurzinger added, "Our ESG strategy places consumer protection, integrity, and employee development at the core, building a future-oriented sustainable organization."
The report's release coincides with Tipico achieving several strategic partnerships in 2025, including new partnerships with Zeal and Games Global.
