According to the business report, Brigadier General Glicerio C. Cansilao, head of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG), stated yesterday that the main suspect in the case of Chinese businessman Guo, Gong Wenli, is also involved in at least 15 other kidnapping cases. He urged the victims to bravely identify the suspects to help capture the members of the criminal gang.
Yesterday, the Movement for the Restoration of Peace and Order (MRPO) held its annual membership meeting at the Chinese Cultural Tradition Center, with Cansilao invited as the keynote speaker. Cansilao, who previously served in the police's anti-crime and emergency unit (PACER), successfully rescued several kidnapped Chinese businessmen, including the former chairman of MRPO, Cai Jiaquan. He pledged to continue cooperating with MRPO to optimize hostage rescue and post-rescue operations.
Cansilao also called for assistance from the Chinese side in investigating the Alipay account records of some kidnappers and hoped that victims who have returned to China could provide testimony through the Chinese police to prevent the suspects from escaping legal punishment due to insufficient evidence.
