UK sports entertainment platform Midnite announced a partnership with The Sun to officially relaunch the popular Dream Team league, bringing a new fantasy football experience to fans for the new season. As the official partner of the event, the Midnite brand will appear throughout the league and advertise in The Sun's "Dream Team" section, offering exclusive betting offers.
Participants will have the chance to win cash prizes totaling up to 60,000 GBP (approximately 80,726 USD). The Dream Team covers multiple competitions including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, and Europa League, with players scoring points through goals, assists, clean sheets, and playing time. The Sun reporters will also provide additional points based on player performance (PPM).
Owen Griffiths, Commercial Revenue Director at The Sun, said: "Welcoming the 2025/2026 season, we are excited to partner with Midnite to offer fans the ultimate cash rewards and new ways to interact with their idols." He stated that this partnership not only enriches the fan experience but also helps Midnite reach a broader audience.
Ryan Murton, Vice President of Commercial at Midnite, said: "The Dream Team is a classic event in fantasy football, attracting millions of fans. This partnership is an important milestone for us as a challenger brand and proves our commitment to innovating and disrupting the market." He revealed that Midnite will integrate The Sun's brand heritage with its own technology to bring a top-tier experience to a new generation of players.
A few weeks ago, Midnite launched the Love Island game in collaboration with Playzia, showing its integration of popular culture IP into the platform to expand its user base. Now, through the Dream Team league, Midnite aims not only at sports betting enthusiasts but also hopes to attract a more diverse group of players to participate in the competition.
