According to Philippine media reports, the police in Pampanga Province of the Philippines said on July 5 that nine bodies of foreigners were found in different areas of Pampanga Province in recent days.

Pampanga Provincial Police Chief Colonel Jay Dimaandal said on the radio that the nine victims included six Chinese, one Vietnamese, one Malaysian and one Japanese. According to Dimaandal, the bodies of three Chinese citizens were found in the town of Porac.

The Philippine police are currently unable to determine whether the deaths of the three Chinese victims are related to the offshore gaming industry. "We are yet to determine the cause of their death, but based on tracking of CCTV footage, the victims' vehicle came from Metro Manila, where there was an exchange of fire and where their bodies were found," Dimaandal said.

It is reported that in June this year, Philippine police conducted a raid at an offshore gaming operator (Pogo) complex in Porac and rescued 186 people. There were reports that the complex was used for human trafficking, with some foreign employees allegedly tortured and trafficked for sex. In addition, recently, the bodies of kidnapped Chinese citizens have been discovered in other parts of the Philippines.

Not long ago, the bodies of two Chinese company executives who were kidnapped and murdered were found in Southern Camarines Sur province, and the murderer is still being hunted.
