DraftKings has announced plans to launch its online sportsbook in Washington, D.C., pending necessary licensing and regulatory approvals.
The move is part of a market access agreement with DC United that will allow DraftKings to operate in the nation's capital.
Once operational, Washington, D.C. will become the 29th jurisdiction in North America to offer DraftKings sports betting.
This update means sports fans in the region should soon have access to a range of betting markets and products on DraftKings online sportsbook. Some of the features it offers will include parlays, in-game betting and special odds boosts.

In related news, DraftKings was fined $100,000 in New Jersey earlier this month for inaccurate financial reporting.
