DigiPlus does not believe that 24/7 online bingo operations will be affected by the POGO ban.
Philippines-based gaming company DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has assured its shareholders and customers that the POGO ban announced by President Marcos Jr. will not affect the company.
"DigiPlus is not a POGO or Internet Gaming Licensee (IGL) as defined by Philippine law," DigiPlus President Andy Tsui said, as quoted in Philippine news reports.
DigiPlus explained that as a local gaming operator, it is required to have a physical site in the country before establishing an online gaming platform operation.
The operator also said it has obtained licenses to operate traditional bingo, electronic bingo, electronic gaming services, sports betting, professional gaming and poker.
DigiPlus operates BingoPlus, a 24/7 online bingo streaming platform, and also offers online games such as ArenaPlus, Perya Game, and BingoPlus Poker to its customers, most of which are in the Philippines.
Shortly after President Marcos Jr.'s announcement, PAGCOR and some representatives also expressed their concerns about the ban, which included the potential loss of state revenue while there was no guarantee that the ban would stop the perpetrators.
