Quickspin has signed a partnership agreement with Entain as both companies focus on the Spanish market.
Quickspin is a Swedish slot developer owned by Playtech and has created modern casino content including Sakura Fortune, Temple of Paw and Spinions, among others.
These will be available on Entain’s Spanish-facing platforms, including partycasino.es, bwin.es and partypoker.es.
Commenting on the partnership, Joseph Franklin, Director of Commercial Operations at Quickspin, said: “It is very satisfying to complete this project and have Quickspin go live on the Spanish market, as this project has taken a lot of time and effort.
"I'm proud to have Entain as our first partner. With Entain's expertise and strong market presence, we are confident that together we can provide new players with a top-notch, safe gaming experience."
The acquisition comes amid a major push by Quickspin into the European market, with the company partnering with Britain's Rank and Italy's Snaitech.
As for Entain, the company recently released a strategic review starting in January 2024.
The Capital Allocation Committee determined that in order to strengthen its geographic presence, it needed to diversify its portfolio and brands.
The desired outcome is growth in key markets, which in turn drives organic revenue.
It’s no surprise that both companies are eyeing the Spanish market to achieve their goals, as the latest reports show that their gross gaming revenue (GGR) increased by 11% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter.
Not only that, but the total of €350.7 million ($381 million) was up 15% year-on-year, according to the Directorate General of Gambling Regulation (DGOJ).
