Light & Wonder had another strong quarter, its 13th consecutive quarter of annual revenue growth and its eighth consecutive quarter of double-digit revenue growth.
In the second quarter, game revenue exceeded US$530 million, a year-on-year increase of 14%; total revenue reached US$818 million, a year-on-year increase of 12%; net income reached US$130 million, a year-on-year increase of 40%.
Console sales increased 32% to $228 million, while gaming systems operating revenue increased 15% to $82 million. Desktop product revenue decreased 8% year-over-year to $54 million. Gaming operating revenue increased 5% year-over-year to $175 million.
The group noted that it achieved "strong growth in international console sales, particularly in Asia and Australia where we maintained number one ship share".
AEBITDA at the group's gaming division rose 17% year-on-year to $272 million, driven by revenue growth.
International shipments grew about 33% year-over-year to more than 5,500 units, helped by "continued strong sales momentum in Australia and replacement sales in Macau."
