United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) has announced that Loterias CAIXA has been admitted as an individual member of the association, following the approval of the ULIS Executive Committee. This collaboration strengthens the shared commitment of both entities in promoting integrity and transparency in the newly regulated Brazilian betting market.
CAIXA, founded in 1861, has been a key player in the country's development. The recent transfer of the Federal Lotteries to CAIXA Loterias in April 2024 marks a new focus on modernizing and diversifying the lottery and betting market in Brazil. As a member of ULIS, Loterias CAIXA commits to ensuring a safe and honest environment for local consumers, aligning with international standards of sports integrity.
Lucíola Vasconcelos, president of Loterias CAIXA, highlighted the importance of this new membership, stating: “This alliance with ULIS is a key milestone that reinforces our pursuit of the highest standards of integrity in our operations. We are eager to collaborate closely with ULIS and its members to foster a safe and equitable environment for sports fans worldwide”.
In addition to fueling the dreams of millions of Brazilians, Loterias CAIXA makes significant social contributions through its lottery operations, allocating 48% of the revenues from the Federal Lotteries to stipulated legal beneficiaries. Gilles Maillet, president of ULIS, highlighted the strategic impact of this collaboration, noting: “Loterias CAIXA is a relevant player in the Latin American lottery market. Its firm commitment to responsible gaming and integrity policies is fundamental to our collective efforts in favor of transparency and ethical practices in the global sports community”.
With its incorporation, CAIXA joins a network of sports betting operators that share the same values, contributing its expertise and resources to global efforts to ensure a more transparent and fair sports environment.
