Aston Villa is thrilled to announce that the Acorns logo will appear on the front of the players' jerseys in tonight's UEFA Champions League debut against Young Boys.
Principal partner Betano generously donated this jersey area to Aston Villa, who in turn donated it to Acorns.
The club's long-standing partnership with the hospice dates back to 2008, when their pattern was permanently imprinted on the jerseys.
Aston Villa's Chief Operating Officer, Chris Heck, stated:
"We are delighted that Betano approached us, offering the opportunity and asking who the best beneficiary for this space would be.
"Bringing Acorns back to the front of the jersey was an absolute no-brainer, as Acorns is an organization dearly loved by all Aston Villa fans."
Julio Iglesias, Chief Commercial Officer of Kaizen Gaming, added:
"For all partners involved, corporate social responsibility has been a crucial part of our discussions on giving back to the community from the start.
"As part of this, our first step was to help Aston Villa by donating the space on the jersey for their first Champions League match to an organization very dear to Aston Villa."
Vicki Rowles, Head of Fundraising at Acorns Children's Hospice, said:
"We are extremely honored that our logo will feature on Aston Villa's jersey in their Champions League debut against Young Boys.
"For those children and families in urgent need of help, assistance cannot wait. Thanks to Aston Villa's support and the global exposure of the Champions League, we are able to reach more families in need.
"We are deeply grateful to our friends at Aston Villa for their ongoing dedication to Acorns. We wish the team good luck in tonight's match."
