SBC has announced the nominees for the 2024 SBC Latin America Awards, which will be held in October this year as part of the upcoming SBC Latin America Summit.
As a main feature of the SBC event, the awards ceremony will focus on industry leaders and the achievements of global and regional operators, affiliates, and key industry sectors including payments, gaming studios, and software/platform providers.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 31st (the last day of the SBC Latin America Summit) at the Seminole Ballroom in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Miami.
Notable nominees include SOFTSWISS and Sportradar, each with 8 nominations, while Kaizen Gaming has received 7 nominations. Additionally, NSoft and BETCORE are strong contenders with 6 nominations each.
The number of applicants for the 2024 awards has reached a record high, posing a significant challenge for the independent jury. This year's awards will also introduce three new categories: "Brazilian Supplier of the Year," "Brazilian Market Entrant of the Year," and "Women's Empowerment Initiative of the Year."
In the operator category, Betsson Group has received four nominations across seven categories, aiming to defend the titles of "Marketing Campaign of the Year" and "Casino Operator of the Year." They will also challenge last year's winner, Kaizen Gaming, for the "Sports Betting Operator of the Year" award, and compete against Apuesta Total for the "Sponsor of the Year" award.
Additionally, the operator awards will see well-known competitors such as BetWarrior, Rush Street Interactive, EstrelaBet, and Codere, each with multiple category nominations.
In the affiliate category, Super Afiliados will compete with other nominees including Alts Digital, Apuesta Legal Perú, BETANDEAL, Betpass, Click Hunters, and Game Lounge to retain the title of "Best Casino Affiliate of the Year." Meanwhile, Apuesta Legal Perú, BETANDEAL, Betpass, Better Collective, Flashscore, Already Media, Alts Digital, and KR3W will vie for the "Best Sports Affiliate of the Year" award.
Fourteen leading brands will compete for the title of "Best Employer of the Year," including Alea, BMM Innovation Group, Digitain, Pay4Fun, and ProntoPaga. Meanwhile, the Entain Group aims to win the "Best Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year" award again.
Tonight, OKTO will return to the stage, striving to defend the title of "Payment Solution of the Year," while BMM Innovation Group, SOFTSWISS, Exato Digital, IC360, IDnow, Mindway AI, and Wazdan will compete for the "Compliance Partner/Supplier of the Year" award.
In the supplier category, Sportradar, with eight nominations, will endeavor to defend its titles of "Marketing and Service Provider of the Year" and "Sports Data/Live Betting Product of the Year."
Furthermore, tonight is also significant for Genius Sports, which has received four nominations, including for the "Industry Innovation Award," "Sports Data/Live Betting Product Award," and "Sports Betting Supplier of the Year." They also hope to retain the title of "Customer Acquisition and Retention Partner."
The awards ceremony will also spotlight emerging talent through three "Rising Star" awards, recognizing notable newcomers making an impact in the industry. These categories include "Sports Betting Rising Star" and "Casino Rising Star" in the supplier category, and "Rising Star of the Year - Operator."
