Normative Reference No. 19 IRAM – ALEA: DAFAS La Pampa obtained recertification

This is the first specific quality standard in Latin America that allows the creation of a Quality Management System.

Argentina.- The Financial Assistance Directorate for Social Action (DAFAS) of La Pampa, successfully passed a new audit conducted last September 23 by the team from the Argentine Institute of Standardization and Certification (IRAM) and achieved the recertification of the Regulatory Standard No. 19 IRAM – ALEA.

“This phase allows DAFAS to advance in consolidating its Quality Management System which encompasses all the processes that the organization carries out daily and which means more efficacy, control, services, efficiency, and transparency in the management of gambling,” stated the entity that regulates gambling in the province of La Pampa.

The Regulatory Standard No.19 IRAM – ALEA, aimed at public regulatory bodies and administrators of gambling and private organizations authorized for the exploitation of gambling, is the first specific quality standard in Latin America that allows the creation of a Quality Management System with scope to all the main or substantive processes of the organization.

Already in August, DAFAS had successfully passed the internal audit with positive results from auditors Rodrigo Moreno, from IPJyC of Mendoza, and Fernando Boselli, from the Lottery of Neuquén.

On September 23, the authorities of DAFAS welcomed the IRAM auditor, Juan Manuel Savid, who toured the facilities and interviewed the staff and the management of the agency.

The final report highlighted the proper maintenance of the quality system, with a committed and active Social Responsibility and Responsible Gaming Program, the fight against illegal gambling, compliance with guidelines on Anti-Money Laundering Prevention, information security, and the customer service system of DAFAS.

Within the processes covered by the Quality Management System are the capture of bets, draws and payment of prizes, auditing, the customer service system along with the ongoing resolution of queries from the sales network, marketing through official agencies, economic and financial management, the purchasing system and provision of goods and services with supplier evaluation and satisfaction surveys, personnel management, infrastructure, information security, legal and technical management, and communication.
