Caleta Gaming has just closed a strategic partnership with Superbet, one of the largest sports betting and iGaming operators in Europe with a strong presence in Brazil. In 2019, Superbet received €175 million in strategic investment from Blackstone Inc., the world's largest private equity fund, to boost business growth and scalability. It was the second company to submit its application in Brazil to start regulated operations from January 1, 2025.
At the end of 2023, Superbet took a bold step in the Brazilian market by establishing collaborations with traditional football clubs such as Fluminense, São Paulo, and América/RJ. Moreover, the betting house made its mark at Rock in Rio 2024 with a three-story stand, becoming the first online sports betting platform to participate in the festival, a significant achievement in the sector.
Nicholas Yu, head of gaming (Group) at Superbet, commented: “As part of our customer-centric culture, we are committed to offering the best and most engaging experience to our players. Our expansion into the Brazilian market also means that we need to partner with the best game providers in the region, who understand the needs of local consumers”.
“Caleta Gaming is part of this select group of game providers capable of delivering quality digital entertainment products”.
Brazil is at a crucial moment with the ongoing debate about the regulation of betting houses, as the country stands out globally for its high volume of operations. Superbet was the second company to submit its application to the Betting Management System (Sigap) of SPA/MF and may receive authorization by the end of this year and start regulated operations from January 1, 2025.
Paulo Nova, cofounder and CTO of Caleta, said: “The partnership with Superbet is extremely important to us as a Brazilian game provider. Both companies share crucial values, such as entertaining players through responsible gaming and also creating technological innovation in the gaming market”.
Recognized as one of the leading casino game providers in Brazil, Caleta Gaming maintains its commitment for over a decade to push boundaries and offer exceptional gaming experiences.
With seamless API integration serving operators, platforms, and aggregators, the company has meticulously built an extensive portfolio with over 130 games of various themes and categories, all developed in-house with proprietary technology, which also allows for the rapid creation of customized games that enhance the brand of its partners, offering a diverse experience.
