While still awaiting a response from the Ministry of Finance for documentation review, Esportes da Sorte and OnaBet have partnered with ST Soft, a company that operates the brand Apostou.com in Rio, and have now achieved regular status to continue operating in Brazil. As the new controlling partner of the accredited company in Rio de Janeiro, Esportes Gaming Brasil had its documentation reviewed and its two bets were authorized by Loterj.
The authorization for Esportes da Sorte and OnaBet to have their accreditation by Loterj occurred this Monday (7) and is valid for five years. Nevertheless, the Esportes da Sorte Group continues to await the decision on the request made to the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) regarding the review of its documentation at the Ministry of Finance.
In its appeal to the SPA, the Group asserts having complied with “all legal and normative rites established by the legislation and its respective ordinances” and continues to await a favorable decision on its plea.
Even before waiting for a decision from the Ministry of Finance, the company took the initiative and assumed control of the shares of ST Soft Desenvolvimento de Programas de Computadores Ltda, holder of the brand Apostou.com, accredited by Loterj since last year. With this, it had the analysis of all the documentation evaluated by the Rio de Janeiro authority and ST Soft itself requested the replacement of the previous domain (rj.apostou.com) by the new addresses esportesdasorte.com and onabet.com.
After reviewing the documentation, Loterj verified that the company met the legal requirements, including legal qualification, fiscal and labor regularity, economic-financial qualification, and technical qualification, as well as presenting the required certificates of integrity.
After being approved by Loterj, the agency informed the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets about the accreditation, but so far the SPA has not changed the list of bets authorized by Loterj.
In an official statement, the Esportes da Sorte Group reaffirms its commitment to the regulation of the sector, responsible gaming, and the defense of a legal and reputable market aimed at serving the interests of bettors.
On Monday night, Esportes da Sorte published on its social networks an official note about the authorization of operation confirmed and validated by Loterj.
