The organizers announced this week that the SBC Summit Rio will return in 2025 and will move to the largest convention center in Latin America, the Riocentro. The SBC Events department stated that this relocation is "a testament to its extraordinary debut last March."

The 2025 exhibition is expected to attract 15,000 attendees, including 6,000 operators and 1,500 affiliates, "highlighting its rapid rise as the premier event for professionals eager to explore the vast opportunities in the Brazilian gaming market."

The summit is scheduled to take place from February 25 to 27, 2025, strategically coinciding with Rio's iconic Carnival, aiming to provide international attendees with a rich cultural experience.

The expanded venue allows for an increase in the number of SBC exhibitors and sponsors to 400, while introducing two new concurrent events. Following their debut at this year's summit in Lisbon, the Alliance Leaders Summit and the Payments Experts Summit will also make their appearance at the Rio SBC Summit, but with a more defined geographical focus.

Each summit will have dedicated spaces in the exhibition hall and conference stage, designed to provide attendees with a more focused and efficient experience.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC, stated: "The SBC Summit Rio will become the most significant and largest event in the Brazilian gaming and sports betting industry.

"This is the first major event following the new licensing and regulatory changes in Brazil, now in its second year, and it will be held at the largest exhibition center in Latin America, with attendance expected to triple. The possibilities here are endless, and if you want to get a piece of the action, you can't afford to miss it."

The decision to move the SBC Summit Rio to the Riocentro was not only due to the need for additional space but also because of the venue's "first-class facilities" and its historical legacy as a host for famous events like the Olympics.

This summit will occupy 70,000 square meters, featuring the famous Super Stage open-air theater for keynote speeches and the festival-style closing party INFINITY Rio, and will have a massive 40,000 square meter exhibition space.

Riocentro, located in the Barra da Tijuca district known for its beaches, shopping centers, and dining, combines top-notch facilities with a pleasant environment. Attendees can also find convenience at the nearby 4-star Lagune Barra Hotel with 360 rooms or one of the 15 nearby 4-star hotels within walking distance.

In terms of the conference, the agenda promises to delve deeply into Brazil's rapidly changing gambling landscape, guided by over 250 expert speakers. Speakers from leading operators, affiliates, regulatory bodies, payment providers, gaming studios, influencers, and sports team representatives will offer a blend of thought leadership, technical insights, and strategic market analysis.

Numerous well-known industry leaders will attend the event, including Superbet Brazil CEO Alex Fonseca, Betsson Brazil Executive Partner and President of the Brazilian Gaming Response Association (IBJR) Andre Gelfi, Viradabet CEO Bruno Guilherme, Betsul CEO Fernando Garita;

Also attending are Estrelabet Chief Commercial Officer Fellipe Fraga, lottery and gaming regulatory expert Iuri Castro, Honorary President of the Sports Integrity Lottery (ULIS) Ludovico Calvi, Betmais CEO Livia Troise, Galera.bet CEO Marcos Sabiá, Segurobet CEO Monara Shainny, and Galera.bet Chief Compliance Officer Paula Braytne.

According to SBC, attendees will explore "the most pressing topics"—regulation, discussing the latest gambling laws and strategic initiatives reshaping the market. The conference will also discuss how artificial intelligence can enhance branding, the importance of ethics and localization in marketing, and the continuously evolving payment systems crucial for success.

SBC noted that evening networking events will be held at iconic locations, providing a "perfect blend" of business and entertainment. A highlight is the exclusive party at Botafogo's home ground, the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium, offering guests the opportunity to network while enjoying the atmosphere of a football stadium.

"This event aims to bring together executives from Brazil and other regions to shape the future of the industry in this magical country. Our gatherings are known for attracting key decision-makers, and with the market still in its early stages, the opportunity to connect with these leaders could truly be a game-changer," added Sojmark.
