The Criciúma Esporte Clube will allocate the advertising spaces on the uniforms of the under-20 and under-17 youth categories to the NGOs Abadeus and Bairro da Juventude, respectively. This initiative takes place with the support of the main sponsor of the main male team, EstrelaBet, to reinforce the social commitment of the club and the company by giving visibility to social causes and to comply with responsible advertising regulations.
The under-20 team of Criciúma will display the name of Abadeus, an organization located in Santa Catarina that promotes actions to transform the lives of children and adolescents through social development programs and professional training.
The under-17 team will feature the NGO Bairro da Juventude, recognized for its work in southern Santa Catarina, focused on social inclusion and the promotion of the rights of children and young people in the community.
The insertion of the brands has no cost for the NGOs and occurs from the games in October.
This movement of allocating spaces for NGOs on the uniforms of the youth categories is not unprecedented for EstrelaBet. In partnership with América-MG, the company also replaced its brand with that of Santa Casa BH, the hospital with the highest number of hospitalizations in the country.
The company also acted in support of the Central Única das Favelas (CUFA), changing the shirts of sponsored teams to encourage donations that helped communities affected by floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
The initiative is in accordance with the new legal guidelines for the sports betting sector in Brazil, highlighting EstrelaBet's commitment to act ethically and regulated. The company is one of the first to request an operating license in the regulated fixed-odds betting market.
