Altenar has enhanced the live betting capability of its sportsbook with the launch of a new smart bet acceptance logic, which locks in the odds while players are compiling their plays. With this latest update, the provider adds a function to reduce friction and improve user experience.
Thanks to the unique algorithm developed by Altenar, bets can still be made if there are no significant changes in the odds. This means that players will not be forced to restart the betting process.
Altenar's new approach to bet acceptance has been designed to enhance the user experience by minimizing the number of bets that are rejected due to a live bet delay.
The proprietary algorithm filters out the friction caused by sudden changes in the odds and allows users to place bets at the prices they initially selected, even if the odds have changed during a bet delay. As a result, almost all live bets are accepted, since there are no fundamental changes in the events.
The acceptance criteria are fully customizable, allowing operators to tailor the solution based on their strategy, and the new bet acceptance function is proving to be one of the most robust solutions in the industry.
This is the latest update to Altenar's sportsbook, following other recent improvements, including a major enhancement in the Bet Boost tool, a new promotional feature of the Reward System, and a significant improvement in the eSports offering, including a standalone lobby.
Dinos Doxiadis, sportsbook product development manager at Altenar, said: "We are pleased to introduce another innovative solution, this time addressing one of the oldest problems in the industry".
"Our new bet acceptance algorithm, combined with our dynamic live betting delay, provides a very attractive solution to this problem".
To learn more about how all these products can help a brand grow, the company invites everyone to visit its booth C20 at the SBC Summit Latinoamérica or schedule a meeting with the Altenar team.

With the regulation of iGaming still underway in Brazil, operators are looking for safe and viable alternatives to maintain their activities and ensure sustainable growth. In this scenario, the lottery model emerges as a consolidated and widely accepted option in the country, offering legal security, reliability in payments, and a tradition that spans generations. Setebit analyzes interesting aspects about the vertical.
The lotteries, since the times of the "federal lottery", have won the trust of the Brazilian public, both for the familiarity with the game model and for the clarity and transparency of the draws.
Unlike the online casino market, lotteries operate with a solid popular base, reaching a diverse audience and with wide penetration throughout the national territory.
This scenario brings operators a unique opportunity to enter a sector of great acceptance, in addition to having clearer legislation and a secure payment model, ensuring that prizes are delivered efficiently and credibly.
The dichotomy: Casinos x Lotteries
When comparing the markets of casinos and lotteries, it is possible to notice some fundamental differences that make lotteries a safer choice, especially for operators seeking stability in the iGaming sector.
Casinos face significant challenges in Brazil, both in terms of regulation and revenue flow. Most online casinos operate in international jurisdictions, which means that a large part of the profits generated by Brazilian operators ends up being exported to other countries.
In addition, there is always the legal uncertainty surrounding the operation of casinos in Brazil, which represents an additional risk for operators and investors.
Another weak point is the security in payments. In many cases, Brazilian gamblers who win at online casinos face difficulties in receiving their prizes due to the lack of a solid and reliable regulatory structure. This can generate a level of distrust on the part of the public, who, in turn, seek alternatives where the delivery of winnings is guaranteed.
In addition, the casino sector is often associated with concerns about responsible gaming, which puts extra pressure on operators to ensure that their services are offered ethically and in compliance with best practices for player protection.
On the other hand, lotteries do not face these difficulties. The revenues generated by lotteries are entirely distributed in Brazil, which strengthens the local economy and generates jobs. The security in payments is guaranteed, with prizes delivered efficiently, and the extraction process is widely reliable and transparent.
In addition, the modality does not carry the same stigma of risk associated with casinos, being seen as a more accessible and socially accepted form of entertainment.

Federal Deputy Bacelar criticized Caixa Econômica Federal after the entity pointed out that a Bill authored by the Bahian parliamentarian presented risks of money laundering and fraud. The PL in question deals with the regulation of the betting advisor, which has been in the Chamber of Deputies since 2023.
“It's Caixa being Caixa. Gambling is prohibited in Brazil, but Caixa is a gamble. How many games does Caixa have? But it is inefficient and lives on the monopoly”, stated Federal Deputy Bacelar (PV-BA).
“Gambling is not prohibited in Brazil, what is prohibited is private initiative participating in the game. The government is the biggest game banker. How many lotteries does Caixa have?”, Bacelar inquired.
The deputy also took the opportunity to explain what the PL that regulates the betting advisor is about. According to him, it would be “practically impossible” for the category to participate in money laundering, as the profession is just an intermediary.
“The betting advisor is a well-known figure who has a French term that designates this profession, courier. Caixa already does this. If I enter the Caixa website, there is already the possibility to play via Caixa's advisory. The figure of the courier is to give security to an already existing figure provided for, including, in the penal code. He does not receive the bets, he forwards them”, said Bacelar.
“I don't see how a courier could launder money, as he is just an intermediary. We have the Coaf in the government, which identifies any suspicious activity. How to launder money in an activity that does not receive physical money? It's all electronic”, he added.
