In an exclusive interview with GMB, Henrique De Simoni, LatAm account manager at 3 Oaks Gaming, discusses the company's strategy for the growing Brazilian betting market. With the recent regulation of the sector, he explains how they position themselves to take advantage of opportunities in the country and strengthen their presence in Latin America. The executive also discusses the importance of adapting products to local preferences and reveals initiatives for social responsibility in gaming.

Games Magazine Brasil - How is 3 Oaks Gaming positioning itself in the Brazilian betting market? What are the main goals of the company for Brazil in the coming years?
Henrique De Simoni -
At 3 Oaks Gaming, we recognize the immense potential that Brazil and Latin America offer, positioning these regions as strategic pillars for our global growth. We have already established a solid presence in Latin America, with a portfolio of popular titles such as Coin Volcano and 3 Hot Chillies, which have been very well received by local players.

Our goal is to continuously enhance the gaming experience, ensuring that we offer innovative and engaging products that captivate the end user. We aim to be market leaders, aligning our professionalism and creativity with the constantly evolving needs of this competitive landscape.

Brazil, in particular, is central to our long-term strategy, and we are committed to becoming one of the main players in the market.

With the recent regulation of the betting sector in Brazil, how do you assess the impact of these new laws on the operations and expansion of 3 Oaks Gaming in the country?
The regulation of the betting and gaming market in Brazil is a significant and very welcome development for us. It brings the much-needed structure and security to the industry, benefiting all stakeholders, including operators, players, and service providers like us. The regulation fosters trust and ensures that the sector operates responsibly, which is fully aligned with our approach.

As we already operate in regulated markets, such as Romania, Greece, and Italy, we are well-prepared to meet the regulatory standards of Brazil. This new scenario creates a stable environment for us to grow and collaborate with local partners, and we see this as a positive step for both our clients and the market in general.

What are the main opportunities you see for 3 Oaks Gaming in the Brazilian market, considering the current regulatory scenario?
The regulatory change opens exciting opportunities for us, especially in terms of forming new partnerships and consolidating our position in the market. Many of our clients are already taking steps to comply with the new regulations, which creates a favorable environment for collaboration.

With our extensive experience in regulated markets, we are well positioned to support operators in this transition.

We also expect to see significant merger and acquisition activity in Brazil, which will further boost growth. Overall, this new regulatory framework creates ideal conditions for us to expand our market share and strengthen relationships with key industry players.

How is 3 Oaks Gaming adapting its products and services to meet the needs and preferences of Brazilian players?
We have a strong focus on adapting our content to local preferences. With our experience as both an operator and a supplier, we continuously study player behavior and work closely with operators to adjust our offerings.

Brazilian players seek an engaging and immersive entertainment experience, and our games deliver just that. The vibrant themes, music, and interactive features of our titles create an exciting and challenging gaming experience — characteristics that we know resonate well with the Brazilian audience.

Can you share details about new products or launches that 3 Oaks Gaming is planning specifically for the Brazilian market?
While our global development team is constantly working on new concepts, we already have a good understanding of what appeals to Brazilian players. Our most recent release, Amazonia Spirit, was designed with the local market in mind, featuring the Amazon rainforest theme and native animals such as toucans, marmosets, and jaguars.

This game reflects our commitment to producing culturally relevant content that attracts Brazilian players. We will continue to explore themes and mechanics that align with local tastes as we expand our portfolio.

What have been the biggest challenges that 3 Oaks Gaming faced when entering the Brazilian market, and how has the company overcome these challenges?
Undoubtedly, the biggest challenge was strong competition. The Brazilian market is highly attractive, with many companies vying for the public's attention. However, we have managed to stand out by focusing on delivering exceptional products and offering a high-quality user experience.

Our approach to game design, which combines cutting-edge technology with fun and engaging mechanics, helps us differentiate ourselves. We are confident that our unique offerings and our dedication to customer satisfaction give us a competitive edge.

How is 3 Oaks Gaming collaborating with operators and local partners in Brazil? Are there plans for new partnerships or collaborations in the near future?
The demand for our games among Brazilian operators is strong, and our partnerships are growing. We work closely with key players, such as F12, Estrela, galera.bet, and Betsat, and we have other operators who will soon integrate our games.

The feedback we receive from our partners has been extremely positive, with many of our titles consistently ranking among the top two or three most played on their platforms. We are actively seeking new collaborations, and our goal is to further deepen our presence in Brazil in the coming months.

What is your view on the evolution of gaming regulation in Brazil? Are there specific aspects that you believe should be improved or adjusted?
The regulatory journey in Brazil is just beginning, and the next year will be a decisive period for the online market in the country. As with any new regulation, there will be challenges in the initial phases, especially in the first six months, as all parties adapt.

However, the foundations are solid, as Brazil is drawing inspiration from regulatory models of well-established markets, such as the United Kingdom. Over time, we will likely see some adjustments, but for now, it is important to be agile and ensure that we comply with all current and future regulations. Companies that anticipate these changes will certainly reap the greatest benefits.

How is 3 Oaks Gaming addressing the issue of compliance and social responsibility in the Brazilian market, especially regarding responsible gaming practices?
Compliance and responsible gaming are top priorities for 3 Oaks Gaming. We already meet strict compliance standards across all our licenses in jurisdictions such as the Isle of Man and Malta.

For Brazil, we are closely monitoring evolving regulations to ensure that we remain fully compliant.

We advocate for responsible entertainment and have safety measures in place, such as age verification on our platforms. As the local regulatory framework matures, we will continue to prioritize responsible gaming and adjust our practices as necessary.

What will be the biggest competitive advantage of 3 Oaks Gaming in Brazil compared to other companies in the sector?
Our clients always tell us that the level of service we provide is what sets us apart. From our integration teams to our account managers, we strive to provide personalized support. This dedication to building solid relationships is often mentioned as one of our main differentiators.

Additionally, our games are designed with the Brazilian market in mind, offering vibrant visuals, engaging mechanics, and a seamless user experience that players find easy to enjoy. This combination of strong service and attractive products is what makes us stand out.

How is the market growing in Brazil compared to other countries in Latin America?   Brazil is on track to become one of our main global markets, and certainly the most significant in Latin America.

The size and potential of the market are unmatched. While Mexico and Argentina are also important markets for us, the scale, demographics, and growth opportunities in Brazil put it in a league of its own.

As we expand our presence in the region, Brazil will continue to play a key role in our strategy, and I believe it will become one of our top three global markets in the near future.
