The BETesporte Challenge awarded a Goiás fan, among various participants, the amount of R$ 14,000 before a match in Serie B. The prize for anyone who could score a goal from a difficult angle had been accumulating for nine rounds, until the Esmeraldino achieved the feat at the Serrinha Stadium, in the classic against Vila Nova.
Many participants tried, but it was Marcus Vinicius, 38 years old, who managed to beat the BETesporte Challenge and score from a difficult angle. The feat earned the accountant a whopping R$ 14,000, an amount accumulated over nine stages, including Goiás matches in Serie B and the Copa do Brasil.
The event started with R$ 5,000 and, at every home game, Goiás member-supporters participate with the right to three attempts each. Until then, no one had managed to complete the challenge. However, last Sunday, before the duel against Vila Nova, at the Hailé Pinheiro stadium, in Serie B, Marcus Vinicius did what seemed impossible, placed the ball in the top corner and took home the amount.
“It is essential to build active partnerships that generate engagement and bring benefits to the fans. This is an action that has been very well accepted, has already become traditional and has a great appeal among member-supporters”, highlights Jessica Rezende, marketing director of Goiás.
“The BETesporte Challenge has been a success at all Goiás games. The crowd gets involved with the participants and cheers along with them. I want to congratulate Marcus, as the task is not easy. May other fans manage to score the shot and take the prize home”, highlights Vinicius Nogueira, CEO of BETesporte, the main sponsor of Goiás.
Now, the challenge returns to the value of R$ 5,000 and will continue to occur at all club games at the “Serrinha”. The next home commitment for the Esmeraldino will be on October 25, against Amazonas.
