Kindred’s head of responsible gambling says the increase in the operator group’s share of revenue from high-risk players “reinforces the need for further advancements” in this area.
The percentage of such revenue rose from three per cent in Q2 to 3.2 per cent in Q3 and is flat year-on-year.
Esther Scheepers said Kindred is currently upgrading its detection system, which will enable the operator to “integrate more robust compliance features and optimise our overall approach to safer gambling.”
“Additionally, we are exploring opportunities to expand and refine our research initiatives, particularly in areas shaped by current trends and emerging issues in consumer protection” she added.
The percentage of detected customers who improved their gambling behaviour after an intervention climbed from 86.8 per cent in Q2 to 87.3 per cent in Q3.
