The City of Reno will take the next steps toward possibly approving funds for the new arena at the Grand Sierra Resort.
Officials with the Grand Sierra Resort presented their request for funding from the City of Reno for the new arena project at Wednesday’s City Council meeting.
The Reno City Council voted to move forward with sending this project to the next step — which is getting a third-party review and more information.
There is no deal on the table, and no approval yet, but with this vote the City approved their staff to continue talking with the Grand Sierra Resort to look into how this project would affect the city.
