The Secretary of Awards and Betting formalized partnerships with Genius Sports, IBIA, Siga, and Sportradar to strengthen the safety network focused on preventing and combating the manipulation of sports results.
Brazil.- The Ministry of Finance, through the Secretary of Awards and Betting (SPA), signed Technical Cooperation Agreements (ACT) with four monitoring and integrity organizations in the sports betting sector: Genius Sports, International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), Sport Integrity Global Alliance (Siga and Siga Latin America) and Sportradar.
With the formalization of these alliances, the SPA strengthens the safety network focused on preventing and combating the manipulation of sports results in the country through betting.
The Secretary of Awards and Betting, Regis Dudena, explained that these four organizations are globally recognized in monitoring the sector, operating in countries such as Canada, England, and Australia. They also have highly qualified experience to identify suspicious betting movements, which helps to identify and contain attempts to manipulate results.
Following the signing of these agreements, these organizations will provide information about the betting market to the SPA. This partnership also paves the way to assist in training SPA teams, with the training of those responsible for monitoring movements in the sports betting sector. “We will be trained to identify possible cases of manipulation and fraud; in addition to sharing information. It is a two-way street,” explained Regis Dudena. In other words, both the SPA and the participating integrity bodies are simultaneously strengthening their monitoring capabilities.
In the formation of these alliances, through the agreements, there are no transfers of resources or payments from any of the parties. The objective of the initiative is to strengthen the security of the entire system and protect the betting market, sport, and society as a whole.

Dudena highlighted that this monitoring network protects bettors, athletes, teams, and operators from malicious actions by scammers. This is because there will be greater availability of data on movements in the sports betting market and the performance of even more detailed analysis on attempts at manipulation. “We can and must share information, so that all operators can know about suspicious cases,” remarked the secretary.
