NE Group collaborates with Kenya's Betika to launch its football-themed collision game, Defender, to new audiences in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
First launched in 2022, Defender incorporates elements of strategy and real-time decision-making, where players must decide when to cash out before the opposing team scores.
The agreement allows Betika to offer its users the enhanced version of Defender that was launched earlier this year.
Peter Stagles, Chief Product Officer of Betika Group, stated, "We are thrilled to integrate NE Group's Defender into our platform. Football is the number one sport in Africa, and this collaboration further enhances our already excellent product."
Notably, the game's football theme and strategic gameplay are designed to appeal to the strong sports culture prevalent in these regions.
In June 2024, NE Group will collaborate with Sporting Solutions to integrate advanced odds and risk management tools into NE Group's sports betting platform, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and the betting experience for operators.
Furthermore, in May 2024, NE Group's leadership appointed Vishal Vijay Zend as the Product Director, strengthening the team focused on developing innovative solutions for the iGaming sector.
