Brasil.- La Cámara de Diputados dio un paso importante al aprobar la urgencia del proyecto de ley que tiene como objetivo establecer la Política Nacional de Sensibilización y Combate a la Adicción Tecnológica entre niños y adolescentes. Entre otras disposiciones, el proyecto busca ampliar las medidas que prohíben a niños y jóvenes menores de edad participar en apuestas deportivas y juegos online.
Al aprobarse la urgencia, el proyecto pasará directamente a su tratamiento en el recinto, saltándose el debate en comisiones. De ser aprobado por la Cámara de Diputados, el proyecto de ley será remitido al Senado.
El Proyecto de Ley 3932/24, del diputado Romero Rodrigues, también propone prohibir la publicidad realizada por sitios web de apuestas deportivas en escuelas e instituciones educativas. De esta forma, se pretende proteger a los jóvenes de los estímulos directos del juego.
Además, el texto prohibirá la circulación de anuncios que cuenten con la participación de menores de edad o que estén dirigidos a niños y adolescentes. Esta medida se considera fundamental para garantizar un entorno más seguro y saludable.

Otro punto crucial del proyecto es el endurecimiento de las sanciones a las empresas que cometan infracciones relacionadas con las apuestas online para menores de 18 años. Esta propuesta pretende no sólo frenar las prácticas irregulares, sino también proteger la integridad de los jóvenes.
