This figure represents a 9 percent increase compared to October 2023.
Paraguay.- The National Gambling Commission (Conajzar) announced, through the Ministry of Finance, the financial results for the month of October, demonstrating that the industry continues to rise, as it reached an unprecedented record.
The figure reported by the agency for the first ten months of the year was G. 143.376m (USD17.8m), a 10 percent increase over the revenue of the same period last year, which was G. 130.628m.
In the breakdown, the revenue for January reached G.14.658m (USD1.9m), in February G.13.229m (USD1.7m), in March G.13.932m (USD1.8m), in April G.14.137m (USD 1.8m), in May G.13.728m (USD1.8m), in June G.13.759m (USD 1.7m), in July G.14.372m (USD 1.8m), G. 14.685m (USD 1.8m) in August; G. 15.352.677.766 (USD1.9m) in September; and G. 15.521m (USD1.9m) in October. The October revenue sets a record for Conajzar, and is also 9 percent higher than the amount reached in the same month last year.
It is important to remember that by mandate of the law 1016/1997, the resources from gambling are allocated at all levels of official administration to public health, school education, and social welfare sectors.

The institution is responsible for the planning, control, and supervision of gambling, the activities of individuals or legal entities engaged in its exploitation, as well as the interjurisdictional relations arising from the activity.
The resources from the "sports betting" modality are assigned 50 percent to the National Secretary of Sports (SND) and the remaining 50 percent to social areas, municipalities, governorships, and the Public Treasury.
In 2023, Conajzar reported a revenue of G. 158.080.745.324 (USD21.3m), a 9.9 percent increase over the previous year's revenue, which was G.143.734.633.338 (USD19.2m).
