The organization Protectora Rosario organized a protest to raise awareness of animal rights and to request the transformation of activities at the location.
Argentina.- Members of the organization Protectora Rosario, focused on promoting animal rights, organized a peaceful demonstration to demand from the Rosario Racecourse a "transformation" of the site's activities.
The event took place at the corner of Oroño Boulevard and Dante Alighieri last Sunday, where signatures were collected to initiate the ordinance project presented last week to the Municipal Council of the city of Rosario. The project calls for the definitive suspension of horse racing activities and the transformation of the racecourse.

Cinthia Di Monaco, president of Protectora Rosario, stated: "We no longer want horse races in Rosario, we are not against anyone, we are for the animals. We do not want animals to be exploited, the horse does not have fun, it is not a game for the horse. This is pure gambling addiction, people bet at the expense of their health."
The organization clarified that their interest is "We do not want to fight with anyone, we do not want to attack anyone, we just want there to be no more exploitation of animals. We no longer want horses in races nor betting at their expense."
