Spain.- The Spanish Association of Gaming and Recreational Room Entrepreneurs (ANESAR) presented its Annual Report 2024 coinciding with the celebration of its 42nd Ordinary General Assembly. The document gathers the main activities, initiatives, and challenges of the entity in the last year and its vision for the future of the sector.
In his introductory letter, the president of ANESAR, José Vall, emphasizes the importance of dialogue with administrations and the defense of a fair and proportionate regulatory framework for private gaming. "We have said it many times, but we must continue to do so: dialogue, consensus, negotiation are part of our DNA as entrepreneurs. And we know, because we have been doing it all our lives, that in the search for consensus and at negotiation tables, all parties must be willing to make concessions," he reflected.
Meanwhile, the Report highlights the success of the 11th Gaming Room Congress, held under the slogan "Gaming as entertainment: an economic and social engine."
In terms of social responsibility, ANESAR emphasizes that it has strengthened alliances with entities such as the National Confederation of Special Employment Centers (CONACEE) and the Platform for Sustainable Gaming, promoting the socio-labor inclusion of people with disabilities.
Another highlighted aspect is the implementation of the Continuous Training Plan, which in 2023 benefited more than 5,000 employees of the sector. The plan was launched in 2022 and is channeled through the territorial gaming room associations integrated into ANESAR. Additionally, the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) has accompanied in the management and coordination of all the webinars held during the year and has supported ANESAR's initiatives in these seminars.
ANESAR also joined the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (CEPYME). "It is a confederative and intersectoral business organization of national scope, for the defense, representation, and promotion of the interests of small and medium enterprises and self-employed individuals. CEPYME is recognized as the most representative business organization at the national level," they indicated.
Throughout the year, ANESAR has also defended the interests of private gaming in legislative scenarios, pointing out inequalities compared to public gaming. In this regard, it has urged administrations to ensure equitable treatment and avoid restrictive regulations that may affect employment and the sustainability of companies.
