African online betting and gaming operator Sunbet has extended its contract with Merkur Group subsidiary Bede Gaming.
Bede will continue to supply its online gaming platform technology to the Sun International brand.
So far in 2024, Bede has assisted with Sunbet’s imminent launch in Namibia and Botswana, with the operator branching out from South Africa.
The supplier has also helped develop a bespoke aggregator tool to achieve content customisation via a streamlined South Africa-specific solution.
Sunbet CEO Simon Gregory said: “Bede has been a strong long-term partner for us, and we have shared many successes together in recent years. We are confident that Bede will continue to support and deliver on our growth ambitions with quality and expertise, especially now as we approach new African expansions.”
Bede, which began working with Sunbet in 2017, helped the operator launch online slots in August 2022.
“It’s been fantastic to see Sunbet grow throughout the course of our partnership,” said Bede CEO Colin Cole-Johnson.
“Securing an extension on this contract is testament to our dedication to our customers. We remain eager to continue supporting Sunbet through the next phase of their growth journey.”
Sunbet chief executive Gregory spoke to iNTERGAMINGi in Issue 6 2024 about the operator’s recent rise in South Africa.
