The 2024 Ordinary Assembly highlighted the milestones of the last year and presented an ambitious program for 2025.
The Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Betting (Cibelae) celebrated its Ordinary Assembly for the year 2024 last Friday, November 22, via teleconference, gathering its members to review the progress, achievements, and challenges of the organization over the past year and to project initiatives for 2025.
The president of Cibelae, Javier Milián (president of the National Lottery of Charity of El Salvador), highlighted the milestones achieved during the year, emphasizing the in-person events organized: the CIBELAE March Sessions in Buenos Aires, focused on sports betting in Latin America, and the CIBELAE October Sessions in El Salvador, where issues such as anti-money laundering prevention and innovation were addressed.
Additionally, Milián emphasized the active participation of the corporation in the international meetings convened by the World Lottery Association (WLA) for presidents and executive directors of the various regional associations, held in Nashville (USA) and Paris (France), which consolidate the organization's role in joint work with other global associations.
On his part, the secretary-general, Carlos Liseras Osorio (president of the National Gambling Commission of Paraguay), reported on the remarkable growth in the number of members that have joined Cibelae, with 17 new admissions among associate and regular members, representing the highest growth rate in the organization's history.
