The Senate CPI investigating online betting is set to vote this Tuesday (26) on summoning requests for singer Gusttavo Lima and an invitation to YouTuber Felipe Neto. Right after voting on the 29 agenda items, the Commission will take testimonies from the CEO of Betnacional, João Studart, and the owner of Sportingbet, Marcus da Silva, as well as delegates investigating money laundering schemes related to betting.
After the voting of the requests, the CPI will hear from the owner of the Brazilian betting site Sportingbet, Marcus da Silva, who is under investigation by the senators. The same will occur with the CEO of Betnacional, João Studart. The CPI hopes to gather information about the operations of the companies and their compliance with the law. Both have been summoned.
Delegates Erick Salum, from the Federal District, and Paulo Gustavo Gondim Borba Correia de Sousa, from Pernambuco, will also be heard. Both are involved in operations concerning bets, with Sousa coordinating Operation Integration, which raised suspicions involving Gusttavo Lima.
Another 22 requests to be analyzed are invitations to provide information. On the list are representatives from the betting companies UpBet, Multibet, and the State Lottery of Rio de Janeiro (Loterj), as well as the payment company Pix2Pay. The CEO of Pixbet, Ernildo Júnior Farias, may also be called, but as a witness and under summons
