The organization gave a talk about its campaign to prevent behavioral addictions in adolescents in the town of La Laguna.
Spain.- The Sustainable Gaming Platform extended the FES Project to the town of La Laguna, in Tenerife. The organization, along with the government of the Canary Islands, presented its campaign to prevent behavioral addictions in adolescents, which will be made available to all educational centers in the Canary Islands.
The exhibition, which took place at the I.E.S. Professor Martín Miranda, was led by Pedro García Aguado, Olympic medalist and ambassador of the FES Project. García Aguado contributed his professional experience and life story, becoming a benchmark for personal improvement.
For her part, the coordinator of the FES Project, Cristina García, explained to those present how the campaign works and the essential elements of each of the chapters that are worked on in the talks for young people and the workshops for parents. Among the main topics addressed, the prevention of behavioral addictions, the healthy use of technology, strategies to deal with school bullying, and other key issues in the current youth environment stand out.
The talk took place within the framework of a series of conferences held in the municipality, driven by the Councilor for Education and Youth of the City of La Laguna, Sergio Eiroa, and aim to provide tools and strategies to adolescents to face different challenges.

In September, the Sustainable Gaming Platform and the Government of the Canary Islands launched the FES Project. The presentation event was attended by the Minister of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports, Poli Suárez; the Minister of the Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security, Nieves Lady Barreto, and the Deputy Minister of Administrations and Transparency, Antonio Llorens.
When launching the initiative, Nieves Lady Barreto said: “Freedom is at the center of what we are doing here today. Providing tools so that when you have a mobile phone in your hands, you can decide freely and that nothing toxic invades you. The FES project helps to not lose this freedom, take advantage of it”.
