The Betting House has taken another important step to help protect its users and has joined the COMPULSAFE program. Developed by the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsives (EBAC), the project's main purposes are to present solutions and management of bettors with a dependency profile, as well as to contribute to the process of regulation of betting companies with the federal government.
“We are among the houses that have applied to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) to operate in Brazil and we are committed to seeking all necessary means to ensure a protected experience that guarantees the well-being of our bettors”, states Anderson Nunes, head of business at the Betting House.
“The adherence to the program reinforces our commitment to providing a safe and responsible betting space, aligned with new regulatory demands”.
The idea is that, after a period of diagnosis by EBAC professionals with partner bets, a personalized action plan will be developed for each person, aiming at the implementation of good practices that allow responsible gambling.
The execution of the outlined project will be the responsibility of the platforms and the team of professionals from EBAC will offer support throughout this period.
"The bets will be obliged to implement, within the betting platforms, detection systems, warning signs and guidance to bettors with potential gambling disorder. Once this reception is done, they will need to then guide on ways to continue the necessary attention”, explains Ricardo Magri, CEO of EBAC.
Founded in 2022, the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsives is already positioned to meet the demands of companies and users through a group of experts with competencies and skills in the fields of psychology, communication, organizational management, and compliance in the gaming industry.
“The reception is direct to the bettor, free of charge, and begins with psychological support procedures up to screening and referral for participation in a psychoeducational program, with up to eight weeks duration”, explains Cristiano Costa, psychologist and director of knowledge (CKO) at EBAC.
“In this process, the user will have access to technical information and quality group experiences to face gambling disorders”, he states.
The Betting House, in turn, was founded in 2013 in the European continent and is the first genuinely Brazilian brand in the betting sector, present in the country since 2019.
The first company in the sector in Brazil to sponsor national football clubs, the company innovated in the sector by acquiring this year the naming rights of two of the main stadiums in Brazil: the Arena Fonte Nova, in a four-season contract, and the Arena das Dunas, for five years.
In addition, it has the credibility of the ambassador Renata Fan, presenter of Jogo Aberto and long-time partner of the company, and, more recently, of the comedian Danilo Gentili, who also joined the team.
