Tropicalize, a leader in the 'Betting as a Service' (BaaS) model in Brazil, establishes itself as a strategic partner for iGaming companies looking to operate legally in the country. The company serves major players such as B2XBet, BetFive, Sportsbet.io, JetBet, SorteBet, and PinBet. It applies cutting-edge technology to simplify the regulation of operators and has already received initial approval from the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF).

Unlike traditional operators, Tropicalize offers an integrated solution that combines cutting-edge technology, compliance, and technical support. The model used by Tropicalize allows clients to adapt to the demands of the new regulation efficiently and safely, without the need to invest in their own infrastructure.

The company assumes the entire necessary structure for the operations to function, serving operators who wish to enter the Brazilian market in a fully regulated manner.

Founded to meet the growing demand for regularization in the iGaming sector, Tropicalize bases its business model on three pillars: regulatory compliance, advanced technology, and complete operational support.

With tools like advanced data warehouse systems, Tropicalize simplifies data management and adaptation to regulations, in addition to promoting initiatives that encourage responsible gaming.

Our mission is to transform the iGaming market in Brazil, bringing cutting-edge technology and excellence in compliance. We want to help our partners grow sustainably and within the rules, ensuring safety and transparency for all involved,” states Lara Nicolau, founder and CMO of Tropicalize.

Tropicalize's initial approval by the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF) allows the company to operate regulated in Brazil from January 1, 2025. This achievement reinforces its commitment to legal requirements and its position as a reference in the sector.

With licenses in SIGAP identified as 0070 and 0071, Tropicalize already serves major brands in the market, such as B2XBet, BetFive, Sportsbet.io, JetBet, SorteBet, and PinBet. These operators rely on comprehensive support in compliance, operational management, and technological solutions, consolidating Tropicalize as a reliable partner to face the challenges of the regulated market.

Technology is at the center of our operation. Our data warehouse system collects and organizes critical data, allowing our partners to make informed decisions and comply with regulations quickly and efficiently. Thus, they can focus on growth and customer acquisition, while we take care of the technical and regulatory complexities,” highlights Sérgio Sacchi, founder and CEO of Tropicalize.

In addition to facilitating the entry of operators into the regulated market, Tropicalize reinforces its commitment to good practices and the responsible development of the sector.

With projections indicating that the Brazilian betting market will move about R$ 120 billion a year and generate more than 300,000 jobs by 2025, Tropicalize is strategically positioned to lead this transformation.

The company plans to expand its operations with new licenses and strategic partnerships, consolidating its role as a reference in innovation and compliance in the iGaming market.

The Caixa Econômica Federal is taking steps to reduce the problems caused by betting, especially for people in vulnerable situations. The financial institution has launched a new responsible gaming program, which seeks to educate about the risks of compulsive activity, protect minors, and support those who face difficulties in controlling addiction.

The program includes actions such as training for entrepreneurs who manage lottery outlets, focusing on identifying and preventing risk behaviors among bettors. Additionally, gambling now includes a self-assessment system.

Among the questions, players respond about the time spent thinking about betting, attempts to stop or reduce gambling, and possible lies about their frequency to friends and relatives.

At the end of the test, the result appears with guidance for the user.

In the digital environment, Caixa has implemented control measures. Now, online betting can only be done by individuals over 18 years old, with time and value limits. Tools have also been adopted to monitor potential risks, aligned with the best international practices.

The initiative seeks to prevent the routine of betting from causing financial and emotional harm. For more information about the program and how it can help the bettor, visit Loterias Online. Also, see the Responsible Gaming website.

The multinational International Game Technology (IGT) continues its struggle for space in São Paulo, even after losing the concession for the state lottery. The company plans to judicialize the process, arguing that the competitor who won the bid does not have the necessary technical qualifications to take over the business. The highest bid, from the Winning Bet consortium, reached R$ 600 million.

An IGT executive expressed his frustration, stating: “I don't want to enter a nuclear war with the government of São Paulo, but I'm tired of waiting”.

Recently, IGT sent a letter to the Secretary of Partnership in Investments, Rafael Benini, requesting the disclosure of the technical qualifications of the competing company. However, the multinational did not receive a response, which intensified its dissatisfaction with the situation.

The lack of communication by the government is seen as an obstacle to transparency in the process.

The dispute between IGT and the new concessionaire raises questions about transparency and competitiveness in the gambling sector in São Paulo. The company, which already has experience in the market, seeks to ensure that all competitors comply with the established technical requirements.

The government of the state of São Paulo promoted the auction for the concession of the state lottery service, whose best bid, of R$ 600 million, was won by the Winning Bet consortium, led by the Portuguese SAV Participações

The consortium will be able to explore the service physically or virtually, in the modalities of prognostics (such as sports betting) and instant (such as scratch cards) for the next 15 years.
