Kaizen Gaming, one of the world's largest GameTech companies and owner of the online sports betting brand Betano, has launched "The Collective," its new international volunteering program. The idea aims to create significant social impact and a positive difference in communities around the world. Its first initiatives in this area have already been implemented in six cities in Europe and Brazil.
Starting the new program, in November, more than 200 employees of Kaizen Gaming participated in the first volunteering initiatives of "The Collective". They were organized almost simultaneously in five countries, in six different locations in Europe and Latin America.
In partnership with six diverse non-governmental organizations (NGOs) — from São Paulo to Lisbon, from Sofia to Bucharest, and from Athens to Thessaloniki — the "Kaizeners" engaged in a variety of impactful projects, including:
* Athens, Greece: Kaizen Gaming employees cooked over 400 portions of food for vulnerable people in collaboration with the award-winning Greek NGO "Organization Earth". At the same time, all volunteers were trained through an interactive workshop on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), offered by the NGO.
* Thessaloniki, Greece: Kaizen Gaming worked with the environmental organization "iSea" to collect nearly 70 kg of beach waste, while gaining valuable insights from NGO experts on marine pollution and protected species.
* Lisbon, Portugal: The Kaizen Gaming team partnered with "Comunidade Vida e Paz" to refurbish the medical office and patient rooms of the organization, improving the living conditions of the residents.
* São Paulo, Brazil: Working with the "Cidades sem Fome Organization", the staff of Kaizen Gaming opened 300 meters of drainage channels to protect the plantations during the rainy season and prepared two tons of enriched soil to support a new school garden, promoting the production of healthy food and environmental awareness.
* Sofia, Bulgaria: The Kaizen team cleaned 30 meters of ditches, refurbished six benches, a table, and a bridge, and prepared two additional bridges for replacement in collaboration with the non-profit organization "TimeHeroes" and the Vitosha Mountain National Park to create a revitalized and more welcoming environment for visitors.
* Bucharest, Romania: In association with the "ANAID Association" and "Pro Vobis", Kaizen Gaming employees supported vulnerable populations by preparing and serving more than 200 hot and nutritious meals to homeless people near the Railway Station, a key area of need.
Ioanna Kozadinou, senior manager of corporate responsibility at Kaizen Gaming, said: "This is a truly exciting time for Kaizen Gaming as we unveil 'The Collective', our new global volunteering program. Designed to harness the power of employee volunteering, 'The Collective' is dedicated to creating significant social impact, while strengthening the culture of engagement and purpose that defines our organization".
"The name 'The Collective' is inspired by our core values - teamwork, inclusion, and social responsibility - and symbolizes the union of employees from diverse backgrounds and regions in pursuit of a shared goal, that of making a positive difference in the world. We extend our sincere thanks to our partner organizations around the world for collaborating with us on the many impactful projects that the Kaizeners have embraced. Together, we hope to drive even more transformative initiatives in the future".
