Justice blocked access to HititBet, the site promoted by the host who did not have a license to offer this type of service.
Argentina.- The Justice of the City of Buenos Aires ordered this Wednesday, December 11, the blocking of the page HititBet, a betting site that did not have a license to offer this type of service and was promoted through social networks by Wanda Nara, who must appear for questioning next week for promoting online clandestine gambling.
According to local media, this measure was dictated by judge Gonzalo Rúa, head of the Criminal, Misdemeanor and Faults Court No. 6. From the Public Prosecutor's Office of the City of Buenos Aires, it was reported that the provision covers the online casino and its variants throughout the national territory.
For the Specialized Criminal Prosecution in Gambling, this judicial action constitutes "an important advance in the fight against illegal gambling" in the country, within the framework of an exhaustive investigation carried out with the collaboration of the Lottery of the City of Buenos Aires (LOTBA) and the Association of State Lotteries, Quinielas and Casinos of Argentina (ALEA).
From the Justice, they considered that the blockade is "an important advance in the fight against illegal gambling," they stated in a statement and thanked LOTBA and ALEA "for their invaluable technical and expert support, which allowed obtaining conclusive evidence to promote this judicial action."
Furthermore, they considered it "a fundamental step to protect users of unregulated gaming platforms and prevent the economic damage these generate to the State and bettors."

It should be remembered that this week it was known that the businesswoman, host, and influencer Wanda Nara was accused of promoting online clandestine gambling and must appear on December 17 before the Specialized Prosecution in Gambling of CABA, in charge of prosecutor Juan Rozas.
The case was initiated ex officio by prosecutor Rozas after the media posted on her Instagram account (which has about 17 million followers), an image promoting bets on the HititBet site, which does not have a license to offer that type of services. The prosecutor formally charged her with "promotion and recruitment of bettors" through advertising on social networks and other channels.
The new charge against Nara is related to the accusations made by the MPF CABA to other influencers accused of promoting online clandestine gambling, in an investigation led by prosecutors Alejandro Musso and Juan Rozas, from the UFEIC of San Isidro and the FEJA porteña.
In October, prosecutor Rozas began taking statements from the influencers summoned by the Justice for promoting through social networks betting sites that operate without a license.
There are 16 influencers under scrutiny as a result of a judicial investigation that included raids and a detention in a private neighborhood on the Atlantic Coast of Buenos Aires. The summons were sent to appear at the prosecutor's office headquarters, Paseo Colón Avenue 1333. The case was initiated following a complaint from the Argentine Chamber of Casino Rooms, Bingos, and Annexes.
Among those investigated are actresses, actors, singers, former participants of the reality show "Big Brother," and other characters who made their fame on social networks, both on TikTok and Instagram.
How is Wanda Nara's case progressing regarding the promotion of illegal online betting sites?
