Dafabet has announced a new agreement that extends its long-term partnership as the front-of-shirt sponsor for Celtic Football Club by three years.
This renewal marks the longest shirt sponsorship in the history of Celtic, as Dafabet will have been the club's front-of-shirt sponsor for 12 years by the end of the contract, having first appeared on the shirts at the beginning of the 2016/17 season. Additionally, Dafabet had collaborated with Celtic Football Club prior to this partnership, initially becoming the club's international betting partner in 2015.
Dafabet has also recently partnered with the Premier League, signing a two-year deal with AFC Bournemouth in 2022, which was finalized at the end of last season. Beyond football, the company partnered with Oddin.gg in the summer and signed a three-year additional sponsorship deal with the South African Cricket Association in August.
John Cruces, Head of Sponsorship at Dafabet, commented on the latest partnership extension, saying: "We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Celtic Football Club. Being the longest-running shirt partner on this iconic and globally recognized jersey is a proud moment. Looking back at the 2016/17 season, an invincible season, being the first to wear this jersey feels somewhat surreal."
It is worth noting that from the 2026/27 season, front-of-shirt gambling sponsors will be banned in the Premier League.
"During our partnership, the club has achieved incredible success, which is a testament to the efforts of everyone involved both on and off the field. As always, we wish the club all the best and look forward to seeing more records broken and achieving shared goals," he added.
Celtic's CEO, Michael Nicholson, also spoke about the latest news, saying: "Dafabet has been a very important partner for the club for many years, and we are delighted to agree to this new renewal. This partner has also shown a real and meaningful commitment to our charitable and community levels, for which we are very grateful."
"It is with the strong foundation of the club that we are able to continue to attract and provide such high-quality partnerships, and with the agreement we announced today, we can look to the future with confidence. We appreciate Dafabet's ongoing commitment to Celtic," he concluded.
