Fulfilling the goal of offering a happier Christmas for society, EstrelaBet, in partnership with R10 Score Vasco da Gama, the basketball team of the Giant of the Hill, completed the second edition of the campaign 'Bet on Good: Every basket counts!'. The project prepared the donation of a basic basket for each basket scored by the team during six games of the NBB Caixa 24/25.
The delivery took place this Wednesday (18), at the club's gymnasium, and was attended by athletes from the team, the technical committee, and residents of the communities of Barreira, Tuiuti, Arará, and Café - all located near the team's headquarters -, as well as families participating in social projects supported by the Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama.
“We know the transformative power of sport and we want, in partnership with R10 Score Vasco da Gama, to encourage more and more charitable actions, as well as bring a bit of joy and solidarity to the families that support and root for the club. In 2024, we managed to surpass the number of donations from last year, impacting even more people, thanks to the good performance of the team”, emphasizes Renan Cavalcanti, CMO of EstrelaBet.
The 2024 campaign took into account the matches against Botafogo (15/11), Corinthians (17/11), Paulistano (04/12), São Paulo (06/12), Minas (09/12), and Brasília (12/12). In the sum of these games, the team scored 243 baskets, however, EstrelaBet and R10 Score Vasco da Gama decided to donate 250 baskets.
“Vasco is a club connected with important social causes. When a sponsor embraces our causes, it is even more gratifying to have such a partner. Last year was already a success and this year, we were very happy to be able to expand the reach of assisted people", states Raphael Pulga, vice-president of history and responsibility social of the Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama.
In the first edition of the project, held in 2023, 150 Christmas baskets were distributed to residents of Barreira do Vasco. At that time, only three games were included in the campaign and the athletes had scored about 120 baskets.
