Recently, a suspected former employee of Phoenix Entertainment (ANVO Group) posted a revelation on social media, exposing the unfair treatment and forced contract downgrades faced by employees after the company's closure.
According to the whistleblower, Phoenix Entertainment announced its closure on October 31, but many employees did not receive the compensation they were entitled to on time, and the company used threats and coercion when handling employee departures.
The whistleblower pointed out that some employees faced "pitifully small" compensation amounts upon leaving, and the company required employees to accept a "mandatory" compensation plan.
Those who were unwilling to accept faced threats, especially if they had relatives working on other projects within the company, who could be used as leverage against them. Additionally, some employees reported that despite their dissatisfaction with the compensation plans, they were forced to wait indefinitely, with the company claiming it would resolve the issue but never actually doing so.
The unfairness in compensation was a significant part of the whistleblower's revelations. It was reported that different employees received different standards of compensation. Some received three months' worth, while others received five months' compensation, and in Taiwan, some employees only received N+1 compensation (just one month's salary).
What was most dissatisfying was that some employees tried to communicate with the boss to resolve issues, but the boss's promises were quickly contradicted, and employees were removed from chat software, making further contact with the company impossible.
Moreover, the whistleblower also mentioned that although the company initially promised to settle payments for the projects under the Phoenix Entertainment brand, not all employees received the settlements they were due. Some employees are still unable to find the company's responsible persons and have discovered that the company has essentially "vanished."
