South Dakota gambling operators collected just less than $10 million in revenue during November, down 11.5 percent from the $11.2 million generated the previous year and down nearly 27 percent from October, the South Dakota Department of Revenue has reported.

Slots contributed the most to the total, almost 88 percent of the revenue collected in November. Unlike other states, South Dakota provides its revenue data by game type rather than operators.

Sports betting revenues recovered from October, when revenue was down 73 percent year-over-year. Sportsbooks collected around $145,000 in revenue in November compared to just less than $46,000 in October. Additionally, November’s revenues marked a 191.8 percent increase from November 2023.
