PokerStars has added another team from the National Hockey League (NHL) to its list of partners, as the Philadelphia Flyers are collaborating with the Flutter Entertainment online poker brand.
As an official sponsor of the NHL team, PokerStars branding will be visible during the Flyers’ home games at the Wells Fargo Center and in TV spots during broadcasts.
The poker brand’s players will also gain a chance to win tickets to games and signed team memorabilia via special poker tournaments and monthly sweepstakes on PokerStars Casino.
“We are thrilled to partner with such a beloved hockey team,” commented Rob Battista, Senior Director of Commercial at PokerStars North America.
“Hockey fans are some of the most passionate in the world, and we can’t wait to collaborate with the team to bring exciting tournaments and rewards to our communities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.”
The Flyers aren’t the only NHL team that PokerStars has partnered with, as the online poker brand also has partnerships with the Detroit Red Wings in the US state of Michigan and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment in the Canadian province of Ontario, the owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL) and the Toronto Raptors (NBA).
Todd Glickman, Chief Revenue Officer of Comcast Spectacor, added: “We’re excited to welcome PokerStars to the Flyers family.
“Their dedication to innovation and giving epic rewards and experiences to their players aligns perfectly with our goals on engaging our fantastic community of fans.”
Earlier this month, PokerStars’ parent company Flutter released its Q3 financial results, reporting an uptick in revenue and adjusted EBITDA. In the US, revenue increased by 51% compared to the same period the previous year to $1.3bn (2023: $828m).
LiveScore Group has agreed to a content partnership with Hacksaw Gaming for its online casino platforms in the UK market.
Through the collaboration, titles from the igaming supplier are now accessible to LiveScore and Virgin Bet players in the UK, including releases such as Wanted Dead or a Wild, Le Bandit, Ze Zeus and SixSixSix.
Marcus Cordes, CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, commented: “Partnering with LiveScore Group is an incredible opportunity for Hacksaw Gaming. Their reach, reputation, and dedication to player satisfaction make them an ideal partner as we continue to expand in the UK.
“We are confident that this collaboration will resonate with players and pave the way for future successes.”
The deal with Hacksaw Gaming comes as LiveScore Group goes through a period of change, as the company announced in November last year that it would undergo an internal restructuring process to “create improved structures and a pathway to long-term sustainable growth”.
The restructuring is expected to impact over 100 existing roles across multiple business locations. It includes the operator’s recent market exit from the Netherlands, which was confirmed last month by the Dutch Gaming Authority Kansspelautoriteit.
Alongside LiveScore, Hacksaw Gaming is partnered in the UK and Ireland with Sky Betting & Gaming.
