The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has imposed a fine of 1.1 million euros (1.1 million dollars) on Alimaniere Sociedad De Responsabilidad Limitada for operating an unauthorized online gambling site targeting Dutch players.
This enforcement action was taken after the company attempted to circumvent previous regulatory measures.
Initially, the company operated time2spin.com until KSA's intervention led to the blocking of its IP. Alimaniere then launched timetospin1.com, allowing existing players to access their accounts from the previous platform. Due to regulatory actions, both websites are now inaccessible.
The fine amount exceeded the basic penalty of 600,000 euros, reflecting several aggravating factors found during the investigation. The main violations included the lack of an age verification system (which could allow minors to access) and charging fees on dormant accounts.
KSA Chairman Michel Groothuizen commented on the penalty, stating: "The Netherlands has a legal market to ensure that those who want to gamble can do so safely. We often see illegal providers disregarding the prevention of harmful gambling behavior. Therefore, we take strict measures against such practices."
This decision was made following the implementation of KSA's new 2025 fine policy, which establishes a structured five-category penalty system for violations, with fines ranging from 500 euros to 2 million euros.
