SkillOnNet has obtained temporary approval to operate in Brazil, becoming one of the first operators to be licensed under the country's new online gambling regulations.
As the market opens to regulated operators, its initial products PlayUzu.bet.br and BacanaPlay.bet.br will cater to Portuguese-speaking players.
The regulatory framework was officially established in December 2023, introducing licensing requirements and taxes for online gaming, with market activities set to begin in early 2025.
PlayUzu.bet.br is the Portuguese version of SkillOnNet's Spanish brand PlayUzu, which operates in Latin America. The platform advocates transparency, with no betting requirements and a cashback feature.
Reportedly, BacanaPlay.bet.br was launched in Portugal in 2020, designed as a casual platform, reflecting its "bacana" or "cool" brand image.
SkillOnNet's expansion into Brazil solidifies its existing business in Latin America, where it currently operates in Peru, Mexico, and Buenos Aires.
Worth noting: The company manages over 40 brands globally, offering slot games, table games, and live casino content optimized for mobile platforms.
SkillOnNet's recent partnership with R Franco Digital has further increased its content supply in Spanish-speaking regions. The deal, announced in December 2024, integrates localized slots like Santa Fe Respin and Book of Beer into SkillOnNet's product portfolio, enhancing its appeal in Latin America and Spain.
This partnership is part of SkillOnNet's ongoing efforts to expand its influence in Latin America ahead of regulatory reforms in Brazil, having previously extended its operations to regulated markets such as Peru and Argentina.
