This week, three more companies have partnered with COMPULSAFE, a program that detects compulsive gamblers and refers them for psychoeducation, developed by the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsives (EBAC). From now on, the Ana Gaming group, which includes the brands Bet7k, Cassinopix, and Betvera, will be part of the project.
With this innovation, the companies seek to implement an action plan that can boost the message of responsible gaming and minimize extreme cases. Moreover, through the agreement, it will be possible to contribute to the psychoeducation of gamblers who show symptoms of addiction and other disorders.
At the same time, using a personalized service system for each situation, the service will provide an individual diagnosis and will reinforce good practices, always aiming at the well-being of the betting sector's audience.
The companies themselves will be responsible for the entire project execution process, while EBAC ensures the necessary support for the development of each stage. The program has experts with skills and abilities in various fields of knowledge, such as psychology, organizational management, communication, and compliance in the online gaming industry.
“Since it was created, the COMPULSAFE program has been attracting more and more partners interested in a system that helps endorse responsible gaming. There are already several companies joining the project, which aims to contribute positively to the regulated market, ensuring that the experience and safety of gamblers and bets are of a high level,” says Cristiano Costa, psychologist and director of knowledge at EBAC.
A reference in the sector of psychoeducation and welcoming to gamblers, the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsives (EBAC) was founded in 2022. Offering free support, the organization is responsible for developing a process that includes psychological assistance, screening, and referral to a psychoeducational program that can last up to eight weeks. During this period, users have access to technical information and various experiences that will help them deal with previously detected disorders.
“Joining the COMPULSAFE project was a move that needed to be made. With the regulatory guidelines requested by the federal government, we understand that participating in this project is a way to convey to the public our commitment to responsible gaming and the well-being of gamblers,” states Talita Lacerda, CEO of Bet7k.
The COMPULSAFE program already had the adherence of companies like Casa de Apostas, Betsul, Betnacional, Mr Jack bet, Onabet, and Esportes da Sorte.
Operating in the market for two years, the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsives (EBAC) works towards direct welcoming to the gambler, with psychological support procedures from screening to the referral of the same for participation in a psychoeducational program.
In addition, it is responsible for the certification of companies in relation to responsible gaming, attesting that the organizational procedures are in full compliance with the legislation and that the companies have teams trained to detect and manage gamblers with an unfavorable profile for gambling disorder.
