Following the initiation of national legal system reforms in February 2024, the supplier Softswiss has successfully obtained compliance certification from the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade (MINCETUR).

This latest certification has been recognized by the testing laboratory GLI, which ensures that Softswiss meets all regulatory requirements stipulated by Peruvian gambling laws.

In fact, less than a year ago, the country announced that it would introduce a revised legal framework for gambling companies wishing to operate in the country, requiring all operators, suppliers, and platform providers to obtain MINCETUR compliance certification by January 1, 2025.

For Softswiss, this latest announcement comes after its game aggregator received additional certification in the recently regulated Brazilian market.

In addition, in October 2023, the supplier also released insights into online casino player behavior, showing that Latin American players prefer to bet on sports events—especially football.

Good news: This week has been very busy for the Peruvian gambling industry, with 7777 Gaming and Games Global also receiving approval from the country's regulatory authorities.

Softswiss Chief Business Officer Max Trafimovich, speaking about the latest news in the Peruvian market, said: "The new regulatory framework will attract international gaming companies and investors, paving the way for further expansion in the iGaming sector. We are proud to be one of the first companies to complete the necessary procedures and be fully prepared for this promising market."

Furthermore, Habanero also received MINCETUR approval in December to enter the Peruvian market, moving into the next phase of its Latin American expansion strategy.
