Representatives of the gaming regulatory body and the Ministry of Health will work on an agreement to address problematic consumption linked to gambling.
Argentina.- Leaders of the Responsible Gaming and Social Responsibility area of the Neuquén Gambling Institute (IJAN) and members of the Mental Health area of the provincial Ministry of Health held a work meeting on problematic and digital consumption.
The meeting was held at the Ministerial Administrative Center and was attended by Diana Fusco and Francisco Gallegos from the Responsible Gaming and Social Responsibility area of IJAN; Paula Alegría, head of Mental Health and Gustavo Lucero, advisor to the Ministry of Security.
During the meeting, the importance of being able to draft a convention to work on problematic consumption linked to gambling, develop joint advertisements, and coordinate prevention in the province was discussed.

It was also proposed to work comprehensively with Mental Health coordinators by region to promote the decentralization of actions.
The importance of health having a three-digit phone number, exclusive to mental health, to handle cases for the referral of patients requesting treatments in public health was also discussed.
According to information provided by the authorities of the government of the province of Neuquén, the Neuquén Gambling Institute (IJAN) recorded a record collection during 2024.
Guillermo Koenig, Minister of Economy, Production and Industry of the Patagonian province, revealed the good performance of the agency during the presentation of the management report of the portfolio he directs. It should be remembered that IJAN depends on the Undersecretary of Public Revenue, of the Ministry of Finance and Finance.
