A judicial ruling, irrevocable in nature, relaxes the restrictions imposed in 2023 and allows the expansion of games such as roulette, dice, and cards, as well as more slot machines.
Mexico.- A Mexican court has issued a ruling that significantly modifies the regulation of casinos in the country, allowing them to expand their offerings of card games, roulette, and dice, as well as to expand their slot machines. The decision, which mainly affects operators Espectáculos Deportivos de Occidente (EDOSA) and other companies in the sector, opens the door to the growth of the industry in the country.
The ruling, unappealable, partially annuls the regulatory reform promoted in November 2023 by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, which had restricted slot machines and established stricter rules for the operation of casinos. The court considered that the Federal Law of Games and Draws (LFJS) allows both slot machines, known as "number draw machines," and chance-based gambling games, such as cards, dice, and roulette. Furthermore, it was accepted that card games, roulettes, and dice also comply with the law because chance is a determining factor in their outcome.
This opens the door for Mexican casinos to offer a variety of games similar to those of the main international gaming centers, which could change the landscape of the industry in the country.

The ruling benefits EDOSA, which operates casinos like Midas and Grand Toreo, and other companies such as Atracciones y Emociones Vallarta and Eventos Festivos de México. Despite this progress, the sector still faces limitations, as the law continues to regulate the type of operators and other key aspects of the industry.
The meeting held in Galicia was attended by sports legends.
Spain.- During January 30 and 31 at Palexco (A Coruña) under the slogan "Luckia Leadership: inspiring and developing teams," the Spanish company held its 2025 Convention. The event gathered the company's employees and featured lectures, training sessions, team buildings, recognitions, and meals, among other activities.
Additionally, during the meeting, the achievements obtained by Luckia during 2024 were reviewed, and the roadmap for continued progress in 2025 was outlined.
One of the highlights of the day was the presence of former Real Madrid and Spanish National Team footballer, Fernando Morientes, who attended the event as an ambassador for LaLiga, a tournament with which Luckia has a commercial agreement.
The other big surprise was the presence of professional tennis coach Toni Nadal, uncle and former coach of Spanish legend, Rafael Nadal. In his talk, Toni highlighted the importance of personal development for success in any area of life.
At this 2025 Convention, the traditional speech by the president of Luckia, José González, also took place to review the future challenges of the company. Likewise, the heads of each area took the stage to thank the teams for their dedication and work.
In addition to the 2025 Convention, Luckia announced another milestone. The company launched its new advertising spot on the streaming platform Amazon Prime Video, becoming the first of its kind from Spain to do so.
According to David Plumi, CMO of Luckia: "Reaching Prime Video is a new step in the digital innovation strategy we have been applying since 2023. Also, being among the first to be on another of the main streaming platforms is proof of our pioneering vision, something we already applied with our agreement with Netflix Spain. We continue to advance in our roadmap, and there are still many more surprises for this year."

The time slot for the airing of the spots is set between 1:00 and 5:00 AM, in compliance with current legislation in Spain. The ads have an uninterrupted duration of 20 seconds and appear during the viewing of series and movies.
