Nicaragua.- The National Lottery of Nicaragua delivered this week an amount of C$25.5m (USD683.590) to strengthen the sports programs and child protection programs developed by the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports (IND) and the Ministry of Family (Mifan), corresponding to the profits of January.
In an event held at the Polideportivo España Sports Complex, and led by Virginia Lorena Molina Hurtado, general manager of the Lottery, a check for an amount of C$12.74m (USD341.795) was delivered to the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports (IND), and another check for C$12.74m (USD341.795) to the Ministry of Family, Adolescence, and Childhood (MIFAN).
After the delivery, Molina said: "This year we want to continue generating more profits for the Social Projects promoted by our good government, where the main beneficiaries are the girls and boys who attend all the CDI at the National level that will start their school year with joy; the young athletes will reach new challenges this year, with effort and dedication."
Also, the general manager of the lottery revealed that for this 2025, the proposed goal is to reach donations of C$351.97m (USD9.4m). In this way, the last record set in 2024 would be surpassed.

The proposed goal last year was C$294m (USD7.9m) aimed at strengthening the social programs promoted by the government of Nicaragua. Thanks to an additional delivery of resources, they managed to give a check to each institution for an amount of C$25m (USD673.930) more to establish a record figure of donations.
