Casino Club Online and Sportsbet surpassed the tender of the Mendoza gaming regulatory body.
Argentina.- Almost two years after the launch of the regulated online gaming market in the province of Mendoza, with three platforms operating since 2023, and two others that joined later, the government awarded the remaining two licenses contemplated in the legislation that covers the possibility of having seven operators.
Through Resolution No. 2, the Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos (IPJyC Mendoza) granted two new licenses for the organization, development, exploitation, capture of bets, and marketing of online gaming activities, in its various forms, through electronic, computer, telematic means, or any other interactive medium.
The authorized companies are KLP Emprendimientos S.A., through the website Casino Club Online, and a Temporary Union of Companies (UTE) formed by Argenbingo and Nueva Plaza Hotel Mendoza, which will bring the brand Sportsbet to Mendoza.
In this way, the spectrum of seven licenses for these types of online sites is completed, the maximum envisaged by the Institute for the province. The other platforms that were already operational in Mendoza are BetWarrior, bplay, RushBet, Super 7, and Codere.
In the tender process launched last year, the offers from New Star-Calimaco UTE, Casinosoft SA, and Slots Machines SA were rejected.
The pre-adjudication commission of the Institute considered that the offers from Sportsbet and Casino Club Online were the most convenient, meeting the administrative, technical, and economic requirements demanded.

According to current legislation, the selected platforms must pay at least 6 percent of the amount resulting from the bets minus the prizes paid. In this case, the awardees must pay a fee of 10 percent to the IPJyC from the license activation. Additionally, they will pay gross income and, just for sitting at the provincial gaming table, must pay a key amount of USD15,000. In return, they can operate in the province for 10 years.
