The goal for 2025 is to achieve donations of more than USD9.4m and exceed the donations of 2024.
Nicaragua.- The National Lottery of Nicaragua last week delivered an amount of C$25.5m (USD687,538) to strengthen the sports programs and child protection developed by the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports (IND) and the Ministry of the Family (Mifan), corresponding to the profits of February.
In a ceremony held at the Senior Citizens' Clubhouse in Ciudad Jardín, led by Virginia Lorena Molina Hurtado, general manager of the Lottery, a check for C$12.74m (USD343,769) was presented to the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports (IND), and another check for C$12.74m (USD343,769) to the Ministry of the Family, Adolescence and Childhood (MIFAN).
With the deliveries of January and February, there are now C$50.96m (USD1.3m) in contributions to the institutions. It is worth remembering that for 2025, the proposed goal is to reach donations of C$351.97m (USD9.4m). In this way, the last record set in 2024 would be surpassed.
General Manager Molina stated: "National Lottery's mission is to generate profits and resources for these social projects led by MIFAN and IND, so we can especially attend to the elderly as protagonists, to children from the CDI and also to the athletes who have been bringing so much glory to Nicaragua."
"We continue to harvest love in the children, young athletes, and seniors of our country with the second delivery of financial resources," the lottery officials assured, emphasizing their commitment to continue working on generating resources, through their sales to economically contribute to the various social programs promoted by the government.
Finally, the general manager expressed her gratitude to all the concessionaires and resellers for their work and invited all lottery players and buyers "to keep looking for their numbers to be those future millionaires," she concluded.
The National Lottery of Nicaragua celebrated the start of the new year with good news, as it managed to reach and even exceed the goal set for 2024 in terms of delivering profits for social purposes.
With the delivery corresponding to December and an extra donation, the Nicaraguan lottery reached a historic figure of C$344m (USD9.3m) awarded to the Ministry of the Family, Adolescence and Childhood, and the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports.
